Dr. Kelly is the President and Professor of Psychical (Consciousness) Studies at the University of Alternative Studies, an international higher education institution offering academic degree programs and introductory courses in professional scientific Parapsychology. UAS was founded in 2009 to provide 21st century cutting-edge consciousness education regardless of location or prior education, to stimulate public interest in Parapsychology, and to support psychical research initiatives. She is the Director of Psychical Research and Development at QPPResearch, and has been active in Psychical Research since 1998. Her research began as phenomenological qualitative research via methods of: individual interviews, focus groups, and observation (semi-structured and unstructured) and analyzing qualitative data via content analysis. Her research was primary focused on spontaneous cases resulting from chronic stress and crisis situations. It was this pronounced form of psychical experience that allowed her to see correlations, which later resulted in her psychical profiling methods and a series of 16 in-depth psychical profiles. Today, Dr. Kelly furthers her research through her highly structured psychical instrument (an 80 question assessment), which was lined up to the MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator) in 2010. Dr. Kelly is an Affiliate Member of the Parapsychological Association (PA), an international professional organization of scientists and scholars engaged in the study of psi (or 'psychic') experiences, such as telepathy, clairvoyance, psychokinesis, psychic healing, and precognition. First established in 1957, the PA has been an affiliated organization of the prestigious American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) since 1969. Dr. Kelly is a Professional Member of the Rhine Research Center, which has been researching the experimental science of parapsychology for the past 70 years. Today the Rhine Center continues the mission of its founder, J.B. Rhine, the father of parapsychology, with a broadened scope directed deeper into the Study of Consciousness. In addition, Dr. Kelly is also a Member of the Metaphysical Society of America, which was founded in 1950 for promoting the study of metaphysics and continues to exist as a forum for the consideration of the fundamental questions of the philosophical tradition. The society is a member of the American Council of Learned Societies (ACLS).
